The Hat Trick
Title:  The Hat Trick
Description:  This was the third train in a four day span to come through Charlottesville with an ex-HLCX on the point. Here is 228 southbound, which snuck up on me, too. A minute later and I would have missed it.

NS 934 Loaded Herzog
Title:  NS 934 Loaded Herzog
Description:  Wasn't expecting a train here, just was driving by but saw the headlights comin' round the bend. Parked, hopped out and snapped some shots real quick. The track must not be level in this section because the engines are definitely leaning.

NS 214 (by surprise!)
Title:  NS 214 (by surprise!)
Description:  Shooting into the sun this way, I tried my best to get a decent shot. Next set of signals is the protecting the BB(CSX)/NS diamond in town, and there was an overhead CSX train coming through. 214 had to slow down and wait, for the empty coal train to clear. Blocked a road crossing for a while, the motorists weren't happy, even saw a guy jump across a car of the slow moving train....not very smart.
